We’re honoured to share that Solara, our 9.6-Star home in Cape Paterson, has received a Commendation in the 2025 Artedomus x The Local Project (Emerging) Designer Awards.
Our team attended the awards night at the Artedomus Galleria in Melbourne, celebrating architects and designers shaping Australia’s creative future. Our project ‘Solara’ is a coastal home in Cape Paterson, Victoria that embodies environmental integrity and a serene connection to nature.

The commendation recognises Solara for its exceptional integration of sustainability, craftsmanship, and spirit. The jury award cites, “[Solara] is a holistic design response that embraces Feng Shui, biophilic, and passive solar principles, with a strong environmental design story to tell.”
Alongside a sandy surf track on Bunurong Country, Solara balances light, air, and energy throughout the day. The curved facade, cave-like entry, wave-inspired staircase and pop-up roof line create a sense of belonging, referencing the nearby dunes and ocean. The result is a resilient, refined, and spiritually attuned home achieving an impressive 9.6-Star NatHERS rating.
We’re thrilled that this project has been recognised amongst Australia’s most inspiring emerging designs. A big thank you to The Local Project & Artedomus, as well as the inspiring judges Yasmine Ghoniem, Chris Haddad, Virginia Jen, Thomas Coward and Alice Blackwood.
