2025: Materiality, Colour + Momentum
Across the year, our team at The Sociable Weaver continued to shape beautiful, enduring homes — projects grounded in landscape, material expression, and a respect for how people live. Reflecting on the year, 2025 was a year defined by materiality, colour, and momentum.

We began the year sharing Elm, a calm and considered home shaped by its music-art loving inhabitants. Soon after came Murnong, a project that resonated widely — featured both online and in print by The Design Files, and recognised by Laminex for its materiality and sculptural details. A beautiful example that sustainable architecture doesn’t mean a lack of colour, vibrancy or creativity — a home created with adaptability and home-cooking in mind.
Throughout the year, we continued documenting our finished projects including; Shoreham and Sylvia projects which will all unfold in the months ahead. Along with the construction progress of Neerim Junction — a work in progress that speaks to scale, materiality, and rural lifestyle.
We also completed Solara, an exceptional project that received a commendation in The Local Project x Artedomus: Emerging Designer Awards. More from this project coming soon!

2025: Research, Conversation + Cultural Exchange
Beyond built work, 2025 also made space for research, conversation, and cultural exchange.
Earlier in the year, our Architect Noa Hackett travelled to Japan to experience the World Expo, documenting her travels through a series of Field Trip Articles. These writings explore architecture, craft, material culture, and urban experience — extending our practice beyond the project site.

We also participated in the Wisdom & Action Forum, contributing to a shared canvas activated by participants using natural earth pigments. We hosted a panel discussion with Rasmus Nørgaard and Noa Hackett, thoughtfully mediated by Danny Almagor — a generous exchange around architecture, place, and future.

Together our team and their families planted 5,000 trees in collaboration with Bass Coast Landcare as part of a 16,000 plant revegetation project.

2026: Collaboration, Sustainability + Longevity
As we move into 2026, our focus remains clear: creating bespoke, high-end residential architecture shaped through collaboration, sustainability, longevity, and care.
While our studio is active across a number of significant projects, we are always open to conversations with clients seeking to build something meaningful. If you’re considering a new home, renovation or would like to explore working together in 2026, we’d love to hear from you.
